We were absolutely delighted to welcome the ladies from the Summerbridge Women’s Institute (WI) to our sunny green for an evening of bowls excitement!
Beautiful sunshine for our President's Trophy competition which kicked off this weekend. Those members who made it to the finals will be playing over the next couple of weeks so keep an eye out for the results of our winners.
On our second week of the season we had three of our teams out playing: Falcons v Armscliffe Ramblers, Kites v Starbeck 3rd and Owls v Pateley Bridge 2nd. Joining the Owls team were two new players who had only just joined us three weeks previously. Both those new members won their games...brilliant!.
The Eagles team started off the league season this week, playing at home against the Knaresborough Tigers. And what a fantastic start it was, winning 7 games out of 8.
What a rollercoaster of weather we had that weekend! Saturday threw some serious rain our way, but Sunday came to the rescue with that glorious sunshine! Despite the wet start, our awesome team and members rallied together, and we tackled a bunch of maintenance jobs, preparing for the season ahead.
