Dacre Banks Bowling Club

Dacre Banks Crown Green Bowling Club is situated next to the River Nidd with outstanding views of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The club is on land which was put in trust for residents of Dacre in the late 1930s. Cricket, hockey, football and crown green bowls clubs were established as well as a children’s play area.

 

In the early 1950s, however, the bowls club was disbanded, but was reconstituted in the early 1970s and has continued to exist ever since.
